Honorary Awards:

 

  • COSTAS N. DEMETZOS PROFESSOR ACADEMY OF ATHENS 2018 AWARD

    Costas N. Demetzos, Professor of Pharmaceutical Technology & Nano-Technology, Department of Pharmacy of the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, was honored with an award by the Order of Sciences of the Academy of Athens for his scientific contribution in Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology. The ceremony took place during the formal sitting on the 21th of December, 2018 in the Great ceremony hall of the Academy of Athens, after the unanimous decision of the Athens Academy Plenary. The President of the Academy of Athens, Academician Antonios Kounadis presented the award to the honored Professor.

    The rationale behind the award was announced by the General Secretary of the Academy, Academician Vasilios Petratos and reads as follows:

    "The Academy of Athens Award is awarded to the Professor of Pharmaceutical Technology & Nano-Technology of the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, Costas N. Demetzos, for his scientific work 'Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology. Fundamentals and Practical Applications'. The honored work has the virtue of being new and prototype and provides for multidisciplinary approaches as to the design and development of innovative nanosystems for the delivery of drugs and therapeutic biomolecules for the treatment of diseases."

  • Honorary Best in Pharmacy Award from Boussias Communications and from the journal Pharmaceutical World to Professor Costas Demetzos for his significant contribution in the Pharmaceutical Science. Best in Pharmacy Awards, 2019, Athens, Greece.

  • Honorary Award with gratitude from the pharmaceutical associations of Crete to Professor Costas Demetzos for his significant contribution and recognition in pharmaceutical science in Greece and internationally. The ceremony took place during the 14th PanCretan Pharmaceutical Congress in Sisi May, 2019, Lasithi, Greece.

  • Honorary Award to Prof. Costas Demetzos for his longterm contribution to the scientific research and to pharmaceutical nanotechnology, during the activities of the Pharmaceutical meeting of the Evia Pharmaceutical Association in Chalkis, 17-2-2019, Chalkis, Greece.

  • Honorary Award to Prof. Costas Demetzos for his conribution to the science of Pharmaceutical Nanotechonoly, from the Hellenic Society in Nanotechnology in Health Science (HSnanoHS), 13-2-2019, Athens, Greece.

  • Honorary Award to Prof. Demetzos contribution to the science of nanotechnology and for the exquisite monograph ''Pharmaceutical nanotechnology. Fundamentals and practical applications'', Springer 2016. International Congress GENEDIS 2016, Sparta, Greece.
  • Honorary Award to Prof. Demetzos contribution to the science of biomaterials' nanotechnology and for the exquisite book ''Pharmaceutical nanotechnology. Basic principles and practical applications'', Ed. Parisianou S.A., 2014, from the Hellenic Society of Biomaterials (HSB) during the 10th Biomaterial Congress 2015, Athens, Greece.
  • Honorary Distinction for the contribution of Prof. Demetzos as a whole to the pharmaceutical science and to education as a Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences. This distinction took place during the activities of the 11th PanCretan Pharmaceutical Congress, 2013, Chania, Greece.

  • International Association of Advanced Materials Scientist Medal (IAAM Scientist Medal) to Natassa Pippa for the year 2016, due to notable and outstanding contribution in the field of "Advanced Materials Science and Technology". Award ceremony of European Advanced Materials Congress 2016 on 24th August 2016 at Seaside Auditorium, M/S Mariella, Viking Line Cruise, Stockholm, Sweden.
     
  • Seal of Excellence to Natassa Pippa: The project proposal 740818, MIDESYVA, Mixed Delivery Systems as Vaccines Adjuvants, Submitted under the Horizon 2020’s Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions call H2020-MSCA-IF-2016 of 14 September 2016 by Anastasia-Georgia Pippa and UNIVERSITY OF STRATHCLYDE, following evaluation by an international panel of independent experts was scored as a high-quality project proposal in a highly competitive evaluation process.
